Privacy Policy

Property Club is a trading name of Wealth OS Ltd (New Zealand company number 9366619), Level 3, 81 Grafton Road, Grafton, Auckland 1010 ("Property Club", "we", "us"). We operate the Property Club platform at app.propertyclub.nz and the website at www.propertyclub.nz. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what your rights are. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see or store your actual password).
Profile information — anything you add to your member profile: headline, bio, location, photo, phone number, website.
Property and financial data you enter — properties, portfolio figures, deal details, due-diligence checklists, calculator inputs, documents you upload, and notes you keep.
Content you post — community posts, comments, Deal Room listings, direct messages, attachments, and voice notes.
Billing information — your subscription tier and purchase history. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
AI interactions — your conversations with AILA, our AI concierge, so the service works and so we can improve it.
Usage information — how you use the platform (pages visited, features used, device and browser type), collected to keep the service running and improve it.

How we use it

To provide the platform: your dashboard, portfolio tools, community, messaging, events, and AI features.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To send transactional email — account confirmations, receipts, and service notifications. We don't send marketing email without your consent.
To keep the community safe: enforcing community guidelines and Deal Room terms.
To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Who can see your information

Other members can see what you choose to share: your public profile (you can hide yourself from the member directory in Account → Privacy), community posts, and Deal Room listings you post.
Service providers who help us run the platform, listed below.
Authorities, only where the law requires it.

Our service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the platform. Your data may be processed or stored on servers outside New Zealand (primarily Australia and the United States). We only use providers who protect personal information to standards comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act.

Anthropic — AI processing for AILA and AI tools

Anonymised and aggregated data

We create anonymised, aggregated statistics from activity across the platform — for example, how many members are analysing a particular region, or the typical yields members are working with — and we use these to run and improve Property Club and, in particular, to negotiate better group deals, pricing and partner offers on behalf of our members as a whole. Aggregated data is genuinely de-identified: it is combined across many members and stripped of anything that could identify you or a specific property, and we do not attempt to re-identify it. We may share aggregated statistics with partners and suppliers, but we never share your personal information for this purpose.

Registered-owner and title information sourced from Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is carved out of this entirely. It is only ever shown to the authenticated member who requested that specific property; it is never included in any aggregated dataset, analytics pipeline, export or marketing surface; and it is handled strictly under our LINZ Personal Data Licence. You may ask us to amend or delete owner information we hold about a property, and we action LINZ deletion requests within 5 business days.

Our use of AI

AILA and our other AI tools are always clearly labelled as AI, never pose as a real person, and never ask you for money, passwords or banking details. How we build and use AI — including how your data is and isn't used — is set out in full in our AI Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep records (for example, billing records for tax purposes, and legally required acceptance logs).

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security so members can only reach their own records, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can:

Access the personal information we hold about you — request an export any time from Account → Your data, or email privacy@propertyclub.nz.
Correct it — update your details in Account, or ask us to correct anything else.
Delete it — request account deletion from Account → Your data.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, contact us first at privacy@propertyclub.nz. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.

We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you on the platform or by email, and update the version number above.
